yes, today's the day, where i saw gals of all ages, from all walks of life, having a single stalk of rose, a bouquet of flowers, 99 roses(ok not that many), some letting it peek out of their backpack, labtop bag or sling bag, some holding it in a nicey-nice paper bag, others holding in right in front of them, like some priced trophy. yes its worthy to celebrate valentine's day, but if couples were nice to each other throughout the year, each day would be happy and valentine-ny.
and i a new poem finally hit me: as i stepped onto the home-bound train, i just couldn't stop typing out the new poem in the handphone:
couples out there
doesn't matter if she's tanned or fair
doesn't matter if he's short or tall
since you heeded each others' call
hold each other deeply
and cherish each other lovingly
mix it up with utmost care and concern
and the strength of love will be easy to discern
listen to each others' heart
hear the inner voice playing the part
of forging an unbreakable bond
that lasts every dusk and dawn
and of course singles fret not
busk in the loving atmosphere and give love your support
it'll too be your day
come what mayLabels: my poems
