Chelsea, SO CLOSE
Chelsea in the Champions League final. There was no way i was gonna miss this. Me and a friend went to Mac at Tampines central to try our luck (to no avail), and subsequently went to a coffeeshop 20-minutes away to catch the match.

Man Utd kinda controlled the entire game in the 1st half, but missed many chances to extend their lead following the opening goal. With that, Chelsea got back into the game with an equalizer, and were totally rejuvenated for the 2nd half, threatening Man Utd with many goal opportunities, including TWO goal post hits (the other coming in extra time).

Being a true blue Chelsea fan, it was sooo nerve-wrecking when it came to the penalties. Adrenaline rush kicked in, and my heart was pounding as the players took their penalties. Most of the spot kicks went smoothly, and when Ronaldo fluffed his spot kick by attempting to fake the goalkeeper, i was already picturing the newspaper sports headlines tomorrow, reading something like 'Ronaldo loses Champions League Final for Man Utd with goofy penalty'. But it was not to be. John Terry missed the final spot kick as well, leading to sudden death penalties, where Anelka had his penalty saved to hand the title to Man Utd. Most people in the coffeeshop erupted with joy (yeah, Man Utd fans surely outnumber their Chelsea counterparts by a ton) Awww, what a dramatic finish, but Chelsea were really really so so CLOSE!!!
