yea, that dreadful feeling is back, where i feel super stressed, tired, not happy with achieving nothing in the holidays, wishing for more holidays........

yea, i went out every single day for the past week, sometimes just half an hour, sometimes the whole day, but to be fair most trips were to the library to study...

yea, this semester is shaping up to be a mess.

went to sleep at 12:30am. tossed about in bed, looked at clock, 1:15am. tossed again, looked again, 2:35am. tossed again, looked again, 3:40am. that was it. I took out my lecture notes and studied for 2 hours till 5:45am.

I didnt noe coffee could have such a devastating effect on me. furthermore, it was the coffeebeans type, not those pure coffee.

went to queue at the (in)famous Doughnut Factory, where I heard horror stories of people queueing up to hours to lay their hands on the doughnuts... but, me and frens got it in only five minutes (it was 8pm when we joined the queue):



the double chocolate was too super-chocolatery thick! too much chocolate for my liking. and the rasberry cream doughnut was way too sweet, I had a little difficulty finishing it. my fren commented I was kinda like eating some weird stuff on Fear Factor.

along the way to the esplanade, I tink the doughnuts really got to me, and I felt so nauseous.(Alright, to be fair, we just had dinner an hour before, and we had coffee as we munched the doughnuts, so maybe I was too full).

Claymore has ended its run! a nice, but short lived adventure. At 26 episodes the series kinda stopped abruptly, with the manga series still ongoing. hope a season 2 appears.

so i've achieved my aim of one anime per sem: 1st sem, caught up with Naruto; 2nd sem; caught up with Bleach; 3rd sem, finished Claymore.

but its kinda good that Claymore finished its run since heroes 2 and prison break 3 have both returned.

Yea!!! Im done with the harry potter series!!! 2 months ago, I had no clue why people all over the world were reading harry potter. now I fully understand.

I finished 1/3 of the book yesterday, and blazed thru the remaining pages 420 pages in roughly 7 hours straight today. That means I average 1 page a min!!! Realli had to go all out to see the conclusion. It was realli a marvellous and fantastic series.

And... theres some extra endings for some of the other minor characters, which J.K.Rowling opted to leave out of the epilogue in the book. its available at the deathly hallows article at wikipedia.

Today's Hey Gorgeous, featuring NTU, was marginally better than the NUS episode last week. I still prefer those polytechnic episodes. Students there seemed more fun and entertaining. Maybe its because,as we get older, the fun factor in us is diminished.

Then there was this documentary on Central, showing how a blind teenager navigates and 'sees' his way around (he makes clicking sounds constantly with his mouth) using sound waves, just like what bats do. It was truely amazing and inspiring.

Wow, the gameshow Identity managed to get Maurice Greene and Stan Lee (yea, the spiderman creator himself!) to appear in a single episode!

But it means I've become a couch potato!!! Luckily Identity finishes its run next week (what? only 5 episodes?).

Heroes 2 starts tonight!!!

Prison Break 3 kinda feels different from both seasons 1 and 2. SONA prison is realli different. But how can Scofield do it this time, without studying the prison layouts beforehand, without any knowledge of any of the inmates, without planned escape routes, without anything basically.

Every Wednesday, Im not at home though its my free day.

Then, I kinda daydreamed for 2+ hours, doing absolutely nothing when I got home. Then messed around internet 1 hour, but doing nothing in particular too. Im getting that sinking feeling again, when everything seems to go wrong together at one go.

The Hey Gorgeous (tv hosts go to schs looking for babes and hunks) episode featuring NUS today was kinda disappointing. Boring episode. The worst episode in the series so far.

A Jap sch in Clementi, Waseda Shibuya high sch had a kinda open house today. Having watched some Japanese anime series and learned basic Japanese, I was curious to check it out:



It was veri crowded, basically. We had to queue for up to an hour to enter some of the attractions they set up, such as haunted mansion and shinobi test. Speaking of which, we did little obstacles and here is my result:



Dont mess with me k. I'm a rank A shinobi, haha. Though I tink theres stil S rank.

Their creative domino fall, they made use of many other unconventional items in the set-up, such as books, paper cups etc, though I didnt capture those items in this particular picture (this set-up was nice and unique):



I also wanted to experience the tea ceremony, but by the time we went to the room, it was already the last timeslot, and no vacancies were available. Overall it was a nice and refreshing experience. I definitely wanna visit such events again.

A buddy (he claims he kinda looks like L from the deathnote movies, and Jackie Chan, hahaha) in NUS today, we went school together, I skipped one of the lecture, and we talked for 3.5 hours.
Then talked with a course mate 1 hour.
Met buddy again to go home, 50 min talk. Then met another fren , non-stop talk almost 4 hours.
My throat hurts now, having spoken sooooo much in a day.

On the MRT, on the way back home, my poetry madness struck me. I got high and wrote 2 poems (typed into my handphone):

The first one rhymes but is short:

Started on Stephen King's latest novel, Lisey's Story. Quite tough to read, not because of cheem words, but cos the grammar, style etc is kinda hard to understand.

A fren's bdae today. Me and another fren went to shop for present at 7:50pm (yea, realli last-min, like the way I do my tutorials). Settled on labtop bag, but we wouldn't sure if his labtop would fit. I suggested Mitch Albom book but we thot its kinda weird as present. Supposed to meet bdae boy at 8:30, but at 8:27 we still havent got something for him. Right at the last min my fren called bdae boy and asked him his labtop size (possibly giving him a spoiler), and we got him the labtop bag.

Ra-ta-too-ee was such a superb film. Realli funny scenes, and a cracking storyline. One of the best shows in recent months, of course not forgetting Transformers.

A fren pretty summed up how life in NUS is so far, it goes something like 'i've learned nothing new since i came to NUS, because i've forgotten watever i learned in the previous semesters'.

Went supper with 2 frens. On the way back, in his car, we saw a gal (back view) who looked kinda hot. Then the car braked suddenly. Another car had entered the carpark, and the driver didnt realli notice it. Laughter erupted. Oei, Mr driver, you're supposed to focus on the road, not on gals!

Went library, children section to do tutorial. Those little kids running aroound, they are so cute, innocent. They emit an aura of pure happiness as they laugh and poke about in the library. Im envious and jealous of them.

Saw someone reading a library book 'who becomes a terrorist and why'. wat kinda book is that?!



And, wats this thing in a flower pot. The middle letters probably stand for optimal, but the red gauge is nowhere near optimal level.

Met up wif a fren, and he lost 2 newly purchased comics at the food court. Both of us missed the books on the table as we left. Sorry dude, looks like I passed some bad luck to you.

Yea finished up half-blood prince! The overall tone of this book feels like a big set-up for the climatic battle in book 7. I realli like those parts where love blossoms between certain characters. And look at Harry! he got his gal thru an impromptu, long kiss, without having expressed his feelings beforehand. wish i could do that in real life haha.

Derby County looks set to be rammed right back to the Championship with their dismal 6-0 drubbing by Liverpool. Thats their 4th loss in 5 games.

Have to get started on my dreaded tutorials.

More importantly though... its time to hunt for the Deathly Hallows

Woke up and started on half-blood prince right away. reached 250 pages, then groggy eyes pushed me to attempt sleeping. However a hungry stomach and a realli bad runny nose kept me awake. Then rampaged thru the book for another 230 pages. After i put the book down my runny nose subsided. Seems that the strong bookish smell caused it.
But aniwae cant finish the remaining 100+ pages today.

So... Lord Voldermort is like some badass videogame final boss with seven bars of health.

On another note... Happy Teacher's Day! Special thanks to teachers like Mrs Crossley and Mrs Neo who made learning enjoyable.
