not so princey
Expected an uber movie, having plowed through the gaming trilogy on the PS2... Ok , i didn't exactly get to complete the 2nd episode because of a supposed glitch, where a missing ladder stopped my progress. Anyways the Prince of Persia movie definitely was not up expectation.. Fairly interesting plot, but too little use of the acrobatics and rewinding powers which made the game so oohh and ahhh...

shreeking
Shrek Forever After is not funny man. I don't know, my friends, the whole theater was LOL every now and then, but i maybe broke out into a laugh only once in the entire show. The Pied Piper segment was arguably the best part of the show, but even that had been boring for me, cos of a newspaper review which carried a giant picture of the Pied Pier and went on to describe a little too much (aka spoiler)... Duh. The story was interesting though, though intact with all the cliches and predictable ending. On to Price of Persia.

cast in iron
Following the flying kicks and punches of yesterday, today was time to settle into some metallic action. More CGI effects, more action packed flying and zooming about, but not as engaging and exploratory as the first. Still worthy to watch though. The coolest move had to be that 360 degrees ultra smack laser finisher unleashed near the end of the film.

One downright boo segment though: the super-uber anti-climatic ending, with the usual lets-end-the-movie-with-the-obligatory-1-hit-kill-special-move-so-everyone-can-finally-go-to-the-toilet.

And can't imagine whats it gonna be like to have a Yip Man vs Ironman movie wooz!

too bad no 3D version...
Yip Man 2 upped the ante as expected. More flying fists and more wapow action, though the story was fairly mundane and predictable. A 3D version (with flying tables and chairs, swooshing fists) would be cooler though.

Wii-ing to exhaustion
Playing the Wii is awesomely tiring. One 100m dash has me gasping for breathe. A 3-set game of tennis drains me out. 4 x 100m swimming has me wanting the switch off the set immediately after the race. Or am i just getting old.
